Slash Gone Solo

Slash Playing On His Beloved Les Paul Guitar

Style. Technique. Versatility. These are the three attributes that come together to make Slash the musician that he is. We saw past the spandex of the 80’s and listened in awe to the riffs and solos of Guns N’ Roses. In 2004 Velvet Revolver had formed featuring a line up of musicians from Stone Temple Pilots as well as Guns N’ Roses  and we again became enthralled with the pure, vigorous guitar playing that is Slash. Ever since 2008 when Velvet Revolver separated we have been waiting in anticipation for what the future holds for Slash and his dedicated fan base. That wait is now over.

Slash has recently announced that his new solo album entitled “Slash” will be released in April 2010. The album will be extremely versatile featuring singers from the pop music scene such as Fergie from Black Eyed Peas and Adam Levine of Maroon 5 as well as rock legends Ozzy Osbourne and Iggy Pop.

The lyrics and music on the album has been written by Slash himself which is highly unusual for a musician going solo. For each song on the album there is a different singer which creates a great all around flexibility for music lovers of all genres.
